Te Ako Puriri welcomed some new additions to our Ako.
We had some children in our class visit Petstop and choose two Goldfish for our class. We chose a snail to help keep our fish tank clean.
We had to gradually add the fish to the tank so they could get used to the water temperature.
We have added lots of plants to our tank and need to change some of the tank water each week to keep it clean.
Come and see our fish tank!

Year 3 Camp
On
the 6th of August our year 3's went on their long awaited camp a night at Kelly
Tarltons! It was an action packed camp- featuring fish, sharks and giant sting
rays...just to name a few. Below are some photos from our trip and a couple of
recounts (the recounts are coming soon!). Hope you enjoy!
Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori'
The
second week of term three was an exciting and special week for Te Ako Puriri, it was our turn to run assembly again. It also happened to be 'Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori' - Māori Language Week. We set ourselves the challenge of
using as many Māori Kupu (words) as possible. We had some waiata (songs), showed some of our art and taught the school the Māori names for some creatures found in te moana (the
ocean). Mrs Giblin and Miss Cleary thought we were super stars (again!).
